2nd ISSOCT : Abstract submission has been extended until 31st of December

The ISSOCT 2018 scientific program, designed by Richard F. Spaide, MD, Eric Souied, MD, PhD, and Ramon Tadayoni, MD, PhD, looks to be as informative and thought-provoking as the program of the highly successful 1st ISSOCT conference held in February 2017.

The deep tissue penetration associated with Swept Source OCT, continues to provide new clinical insights into a wide range of diseases, even 5 years after it first became commercially available. The role of the choroid in many diseases can now be studied, and these topics will be discussed along with choroidal imaging and choroidal vasculography, by speakers including Alfredo Adan MD, Carl Glittenberg MD, and Shozo Sonoda MD.

Not surprisingly, SS OCT Angiography features heavily in the program in relation to many conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, exudative AMD, myopia, uveitis and glaucoma. Speakers include the globally renowned ophthalmologists Ramin Tadayoni MD, Giuseppe Querques MD, Martine Mauget-Faysse and Jeff Liebmann MD.

OCT technology continues to develop at a rapid rate, and delegates will be treated to a taste of things to come from scientists working at the cutting edge, including Jim Fujimoto PhD, and Wolfgang Drexler PhD, among others.
